MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – April 24, 2017 5:00 PM

Scott Burghoff, treasurer of WPOA met with the Selectboard to discuss a long range roadway plan for WPOA. WPOA requested clarification of the property lines located on both entrances to WPOA. A Special Town Meeting was held on 11-16-1992
To see if the town will vote to discontinue and abandon the portion of Beetle Rd from the westerly side of Hartland Road to the easterly side of the Forest. The article passed clarifying the Hartland Road entrance. Beetle Road entrance the property line is located at the WPOA mailboxes. WPOA is requesting that the town discontinue Beetle Road at the property line of 117 Beetle Road. In doing this it would define WPOA’s property. The Selectboard stated that there is a parcel located at the entrance of the association that is not part of the association. Susan Moore voiced that that property owner has an unwritten “right of easement” from WPOA. Before the Selectboard agree to present the article to the taxpayers for a vote they are requesting that the owners of the parcel receive a written “right of easement”. Also, show a plan for
the relocation of the bus turn around.
Wayne and Joanne Simeone voiced concerns with the road dust on Hartland Road. Wayne presented the board with information on a product that is to help control dust. “Safe Bind” high performance blend of ammonium lignosulfonate and calcium or sodium chloride brines. Ed spoke to other DPW Superintendents that use the product and was told that the product does work after several uses. Ed also stated that the potholes have to be taken down to the bottom and built up first. Ed will meet with the salesman to discuss the product further.
